Thema: Set your heart and wait upon God
Bijbellezing: Psalm 40:1-3, Isaiah 58:6, Matthew 11:27-30
Psalm 40:1-3
1 I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
Isaiah 58:6
6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Matthew 11:27-30
27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Korte uitleg:
We zullen samen komen in gebed deze avond en ons hart uitstorten naar de Heer. Alleen van Hem mogen wij hulp verwachten. Deze avond zal gebeden worden en we zullen Hem aanbidden, want Hij heeft ons gered en ons bevrijd. We zullen ons herinneren hoe Jezus een deur heeft geopend in ons leven tot het oneindige leven.
In Jesaja geeft onze Heer aan dat het vasten is om degene te bevrijden van elke band met slechtheid en dwaasheid en verdorvenheid. Vandaag zullen we bidden dat God in zijn oneindige genade en liefde ons zal bevrijden van elk juk van elk mogelijke gevaar. Van elke zonde die ons niet wil verlaten. Kom vanavond om samen God te zoeken.
Gebedspunten (Prayer topics):
1 Stort je hart uit vanavond met alles wat je dwars zit. Kom in gebed naar Jezus en vraag voor rust. (Pour out your heart tonight, everything that has been bothering you. Come to Jesus in prayer and ask for peace.)
2 Vraag God dat Hij ons vervuld met een geest van geduld Zodat wij in alle geduld zullen wachten voor Gods zekere hulp. (Ask God that He will fill us with spirit of patience. That we may wait upon God’s help with all patience.)
3 Vraag God om elk kwaad wat jou leven verknoeid te stoppen. Dat alle banden met het kwaad worden verbroken. (Ask God to stop every evil that is messing up your life. That any connection with the evil may be broken.)
4 Vraag God om de zware last die je in je ziel bij je draagt van verdriet van kwaadheid van schaamte van pijn van lusteloosheid van je af te nemen en jouw te vernieuwen met nieuwe kracht. ( Ask God to remove every heavy burden upon your soul that you have been keeping, from sadness, from angry, from shame, from indolence, that He may renew you with a new strength.
5 Bid en vertel God dat jij jouw hart geheel toevertrouwd aan God. (Pray and tell God that you trust him with your whole heart.)
